Security screens offer unparalleled protection for your home and family, providing you with peace of mind. But while investing in a security screen is always a wise decision, the variety on the market makes it confusing to select a product that is right for you.
Amplimesh® is an Australian brand that has secured more than two million Australian families over the last 55 years and has several screen types for you to choose from. One of them is IntrudaGuard®, which has a distinctive corrosion-resistant design that removes the need for visible screws.
Goldco® Security has been manufacturing and installing quality Amplimesh® home screen doors and security screens in the Gold Coast and Tweed Heads region for over 35 years. If you are wondering whether IntrudaGuard® would benefit your particular situation, Goldco® Security can offer expert advice. Here is the Goldco® Security’s guide to when to select IntrudaGuard® for your security screen.
Benefits of IntrudaGuard®
In addition to the regular benefits of security screens, such as protection from intruders and insects, improved ventilation and minimal maintenance, Amplimesh®’s IntrudaGuard® has the following advantages:
- It exceeds the Australian Standard AS5039, including the rigorous dynamic impact, jemmy and knife shear tests for strength and integrity.
- It is manufactured from specially tempered 5052 marine-grade aluminium.
- It is built using a unique bonding process to hold the perforated mesh in place, eliminating the need for rivets, screws and pins and making the design more stylish and more efficient.
- It allows you to enjoy a clear, unobstructed 119-degree angle of view so you can clearly see outside.
- It has a distinctive 60-degree staggered pitch, round hole perforated design.
- It comes with a WERS rating for UV resistance and energy efficiency.
- It is corrosion-resistant.
- It offers superior levels of protection against flying insects and pests while still allowing airflow and light into your home.
IntrudaGuard® Applications
Amplimesh® IntrudaGuard® is used for residential properties, commercial buildings and public and government facilities. Its applications include:
Hinged doors: Amplimesh® IntrudaGuard® hinged doors offer excellent airflow and unobstructed views through your door.
Sliding doors: IntrudaGuard® sliding doors are perfect for securing openings such as patios and outdoor entertaining areas while allowing easy access for you and your visitors.
Folding doors (bi-fold doors): IntrudaGuard® folding doors provide neat but sturdy security for wider-style openings that make the most of both your indoor and outdoor spaces.
Fixed windows: IntrudaGuard® fixed window screens provide high-strength protection for your windows while maintaining natural light and clear views of the outside.
Exit windows: IntrudaGuard® sliding windows keep both insects and intruders out of vulnerable access points in your home and business and provide safe exit points in emergencies.
When should you choose IntrudaGuard® for your security screen?
Amplimesh® is an Australian brand with a screen style to suit everyone. So when should you choose IntrudaGuard® over other security screen varieties such as SupaScreen®, PrivacyGuard® or the budget-friendly Diamond Grill?
While all Amplimesh® varieties have benefits including resistance to knife shear, impact and jemmy attacks, IntrudaGuard® is a particularly reliable choice in the following circumstances:
Your home is close to the beach or waterways
The Gold Coast and Tweed Heads region has more than 70 kilometres of uninterrupted coastline, over 400 kilometres of canals and around 135 constructed lakes. There is a high likelihood of your home being close to a waterway, and strong corrosion resistance prevents structural breakdowns on security screens. IntrudaGuard® has both a marine-grade all-aluminium mesh that prevents galvanic corrosion and a 10-year corrosion warranty.
You value style and privacy
Because it is built from a single sheet of aluminium with a distinguished perforated design, IntrudaGuard® has a subtle and refined look that seamlessly integrates into the style of any home. The perforated mesh screen has a clear appearance and maintains your visibility of the outdoors while protecting your privacy. Its unique manufacturing style avoids the use of screws and other fixings that some may find unsightly.
You want gentle natural lighting in your home
By providing an uninterrupted 119-degree angle of view, IntrudaGuard® allows you to fill your home with natural light while its perforated design reduces harsh glare.
It provides budget-friendly security
IntrudaGuard® provides your home with a high standard of protection at a more affordable price than some alternatives such as SupaScreen® or Crimsafe.
